ASTROLOGY'S ROLE
Astrology and, more specifically, your birth chart is an ancient road map that’s been used for centuries and can help you uncover your Soul’s current purpose.
This is the general purpose of the service that I provide. MY Soul’s purpose, if you will. Through the science of Astrology and the divination practice of Tarot, I can pinpoint your exact purpose for your current incarnation with astounding accuracy by providing your TAROSCOPE!
All that is needed, besides the service fee, is the following information: 1) The city in which you were born, 2) The day of the year that you were born, and 3) MOST IMPORTANTLY The exact time that you were born.
This information will allow me to compose your Natal (birth) chart. What exactly is it? It is a snapshot of the sky at the exact moment of your birth. It illustrates the positions of the Sun, Moon, planets, Ascendant, Midheaven, Descendant, etc., as well as the aspects or angles between them. The placements and significance of Zodiac signs in the 12 Houses also play an important role. This blog will serve as a deep dive into everything involving Natal charts and the effect that each part has to play in our Soul’s journey. Although there are traditions in Indian, Chinese, and Hellenistic cultures, I focus only on the Western tradition.
Let’s break down the components of a birth chart which will be covered in greater detail in later blog entries.
There are three main components of any astrological chart: The Houses, The Zodiac Signs, and The Planets. As previously stated, the Houses represent the sky at the time of your birth. They form the skeletal structure of the chart and are always in the same location for everyone. In Western astrology they are sectioned into 12 equal parts with the first House beginning just below the horizon line and continuing counter-clockwise in a circle. The 12 Houses represent the 12 areas of life that all Souls will experience in a lifetime.
The Zodiac signs on your chart represent where they were in the Houses at the time of your birth and to what degree. This is where individual interpretations can begin. The 12 Zodiac signs represent the characteristics of life that all Souls will encounter in a lifetime.
The last component, the Planets, represent the experiences we will have in our lifetime. These transient bodies mirror our transient experiences here on Earth. As Above… So Below. These experiences further shape our individual personalities. What House a Planet is in shows us which area in life these experiences occur. Let’s go deeper now into each area so that you can gain absolute knowledge and clarity of your own birth chart and what it represents for you.
